Hong Kong Garden
Hong Kong Garden is an interior design project completed by Artwill Interior Design House in 2024, located in Hong Kong, a 2000 Sq. Ft. unit handled by Regina Kwok and the design team across Interior Design & Build.
A 2,000-square-foot flat at Hong Kong Garden in Sham Tseng, designed and built for a young couple coming home to Hong Kong and wanting room to breathe.
The couple had been away and came back wanting one thing above all: a generous, easy home. The catch was the building's age. At close to fifty years old the flat carried the usual battle scars, some water seepage and spalling concrete, plus a run of T-shaped beams crossing the ceiling. So our first job in this residential interior design was quiet structural housekeeping. We dropped a false ceiling and ran curved light troughs along it, which softened the beams and turned an awkward overhead into something calm.
From there we built the home around an earthy palette and a lot of curves. Art-painted walls add texture without shouting, and natural marble pieces sit against rounded cabinetry so nothing feels hard. The living room sofa opens like a flower with an adjustable back, and the dining room gets a deep-bronze mini bar with its own sink, so the family can pour a drink or rinse a glass without a trip back to the kitchen.
The study started as a tight square, so we reshaped it into an L to free up room for a walk-in closet, a long worktable, and a proper storage system for two people who both work from home. The master bedroom closes the story in the same language, art-painted walls and a curved false wall, all custom-built by our trusted partner factory. The result is a fifty-year-old flat that feels brand new, and unmistakably theirs.
Our first job was quiet structural housekeeping: soften the beams, and let the room feel calm.
