Spanning approximately 1,700 square feet, the homeowners had returned to Hong Kong from abroad, and for this home, required sufficient storage systems to accommodate the needs of their family of five. It was also essential to preserve a sense of space throughout the abode.

Initially favouring a classical English style of decor, the application became more complex due to the abundant floral patterns and colours of this design scheme, therefore he opted for a simpler style, with comfort being key and a focus on linear design and clever lighting.

The result is a timeless abode themed around earthy hues of earth tones and light colours, cabinet doors are adorned with concave and convex stripes and fine mouldings, while metal decorations enhance the style of the overall space. In addition, Artwill incorporated a fireplace element under the television to respond to the owner’s background from abroad, yet functionally adds warmth during the cooler months.

After detailed discussions with the family, they revealed their special penchant for the colour blue. So this beautiful hue in different shades was brought into the design while planning the eldest son’s room, master room, bathroom, kitchen and other unique spaces throughout.

The living room deliberately has infused any blue but adopts a more practical and streamlined aesthetic to cater to the future possibilities and changes of the family. So that even when the supplies and amenities in the living room increase, this will not convolute the overall aesthetic. Simultaneously, the creative application of elegant arcs and arched contours in the space enhances the overall visual effect.
