A home of harmony – For a big family with members of three generations living under the same roof, addressing everyone’s needs and creating compatible areas are of the utmost importance for the interior design.
Kitchen island is installed, with sockets concealed under the countertop. The son’s cooking hobby can be accommodated, while the mom’s routine is not disturbed. This thoughtful arrangement lets them share the kitchen and facilitate more interaction. The L-shaped engineered stone countertop is complemented with some grey powder-coated cupboards. Warmth is injected into this area by touches of wood.
The set-up of the L-shaped master bedroom is re-arranged to meet the new needs. The son has a calm yet lively personality. It shines through naturally by the placement of a stylish irregular-shaped writing desk and the use of black and white as the colour scheme of the room. The layout of the other sons’ room, which was once awkwardly planned, is now changed to be rectangular-shaped. This change creates more practical working space. In the room, two tailor-made beds are installed back-to-back, with a shelving unit between them, serving as a two-way storage unit and a room divider.
The wall where the TV is mounted onto is elegantly adorned with marble décor. Wall cabinets are installed all the way from the entrance to the sofa against wall. Space has been intricately transformed into storage units that even a room door can be hidden among them. Practical and cool black steel shelves are put up onto the wall cabinet behind the sofa as part of the furnishing and an intriguing decoration.
