This project involves a young couple returning to Hong Kong, eager for a spacious living environment. Our creative director, Regina Kwok, chose an earthy color palette for their 2,000 sqft apartment, enhancing the sense of space and adding texture with art-painted walls.
Regina reflects on the design challenges: “Given the 50-year-old apartment, issues like water leakage and concrete peeling were unavoidable. To address the structural T-beams on the ceiling, we designed a false ceiling and curved lighting troughs to create a harmonious and comfortable feel.”
To achieve an elegant look, we paired natural marble furniture with curved designs. The living room sofa blooms like a flower, with an adjustable backrest that adds vitality and enhances comfort.
The dining room features a mini bar with deep bronze tones and an added sink, allowing the homeowners and guests to enjoy meals without frequent trips to the kitchen. The study, originally a square layout, was converted to an L-shape to create more space for a walk-in closet, complete with a long table and storage system for the couple’s convenience.
In the serene master bedroom, we used art-painted walls and added a false wall with curved designs, reflecting the overall aesthetic theme of the home
